Important Instructions for Candidates
The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the official notification for Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026. This examination will be conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in Primary Level (Class 1 to 5) and Upper Primary Level (Class 6 to 8) schools in Jharkhand state. Eligibility Criteria
| Criteria | Details |

| Nationality | Applicant must be a citizen of India. |
| Criminal Record | Candidate should not have been convicted by any competent court. |
| Educational Qualification | Candidates must fulfill the educational and training qualifications prescribed in JTET 2026 Rules. |
| Relaxation | SC / ST / PVTG / OBC-1 / OBC-2 / PwD candidates will get 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks. |
| Appearing Candidates | Candidates appearing in teacher training courses may also apply, subject to submission of final qualification proof within the prescribed time. |
- Senior Secondary with D.El.Ed for Primary Level.
- Graduation with B.Ed / D.El.Ed for Upper Primary Level.
- Final year appearing candidates are also eligible.

Age Relaxation
- Para Teachers / Assistant Teachers working under Jharkhand Education Project Council will receive age relaxation as per service duration.

Mode of Selection
Selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026 conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
